SHORT FILM: Remember Who’s Emma DVD Menu

This is a menu clip I made for an upcoming DVD called “Remember Who’s Emma,” a documentary about an anarchist infoshop that used to exist in Toronto’s Kensington Market area. I’ll post information about the DVD release as soon as I know what’s what.

[it's silent because music will be added to it by the director.]

INFO: This is a short made of photos taken on my way home from a hospital check-up. It features three of my favourite things: stop-motion, looping, and color processing. I decided to make a quick and dirty film using some familiar techniques just to get the juices flowing as I wrap my head around a longer claymation short that I’m working on.

The musical track features an interpolation from “Field of Dreams,” starring Kevin Costner. The Talking Heads quote on the sidewalk was found by accident, but goddamn, I love that band.

shot on location at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Toronto

If you go to Vimeo (via the link above), you can download the video in high-res. I highly recommend it, cause compression washes out some of the sharpness. When you get to the vimeo page, scroll to the bottom-right, and there is a link that says “Download Quicktime Version.” Do it.
